Taller La Zona, was created at the basement of a house in Riobamba St. Buenos Aires in 1982. It was as a shared studio space by Rafael Bueno, Alfredo Prior, Guillermo Conte, Martín Reyna, José Garófalo, Majo Okner and Sergio Avello. It also became a place for exhibitions, presentations and performances of their own work and invited artists like Emeterio Cerro, Alicia Mouxat and Omar Chabán.
In this collective way of working, the creative process of experimentation was more important that the final result.
La Zona se creo en 1982 en el sotano de un edificio en Riobamba, Buenos Aires. Era un espacio de taller compartido por Rafael Bueno, Alfredo Prior, Guillermo Conte, Martín Reyna, José Garófalo, Majo Okner y Sergio Avello. Se convirtio tambien en lugar de exhibiciones, presentaciones y performances y donde exhibian artistas invitados como Emeterio Cerro, Alicia Mouxat y Omar Chabán.
En este trabajo colectivo el proceso creativo de experimentacion era mas importante que el resultado final.
